I decided I was not going to do Beauty and the Beast nor All Shook Up, only because a HUGE opportunity came last week. A local Opera group that presents Giblert & Sullivan shows were in a need of baritones, and sopranos, which when you think about it, you usually have wayyy to many sopranos, and not enough altos, or men in general. Plus, it wouldn't of been weird with 15 woman on a stage singing "Twenty lovesick Maidens We". yeah. Awkward. So, until Two Gentlemen of Verona, Patience it will be!
And oh yes, Two Gentlemen of Verona! Auditions were a few weekends ago. I thought it went extremely well, even though I kinda messed up my Shakespearean monologue, just like everyone else. Although I didn't get a callback, which were being held for Julia and Lucietta, I'm still hoping I get an understudy for Silvia, if anything.
